It’s a small planet. Global networking is especially helpful when it comes to searching for solutions to life-threatening situations. Medical institutions in particular are aware of that; hence the agreement to be signed Sunday between Rambam Medical Center and Thailand’s Chulabhorn Research Institute (CRI).
The two facilities will cooperate on treatment for cancer.
Israeli hospitals are at the cutting edge of providing treatment for cancer, according to the chief of the Department of Oncology at Rambam, Professor Avraham Katan.
The hospital has a worldwide reputation in the treatment of a number of different types of cancers.
Attending the signing ceremony, to be held in Haifa, is the president of CRI, Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhron Mahidol – the daughter of Thailand’s King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit.
