Since our last update Yad Rachamim has managed to reach more people in many more locations. We’ve partnered with organizations that have been able to travel to locations we were unable to due to the coronavirus. It has been a time of shifting gears and finding new ways to help. Thankfully, we have been able to do this by lending a hand in partnership.
Yad Rachamim has been able to help families in Bethlehem, the Gypsies living in East Jerusalem and various families in Bnei Brak. There is a 95 years old woman living in Bnei Brak unable to eat the food that was delivered to her because she’s without teeth but we were able to find someone to bring her yogurt, soft cheeses, the things she can eat and enjoy. She was thrilled and we are grateful that with the help of other organizations Yad Rachamim is able to reach across Israel.
We also heard about an elderly widow in Kfar Saba, an immigrant, that desperately needed a refrigerator. We contacted a person helping in hFer area. He came to Jerusalem, picked up a check from Yad Rachamim, took it to the appliance store and arranged for the company to deliver the refrigerator. Her refrigerator arrived quickly and we were pleased to see this happen by working together!
Because of your concern, prayers and donations this is happening. Many are being feed, others are being helped in practical ways and others are able to feel that someone cares for them. Thank you for your willingness to partner with Yad Rachamim. We’re grateful!
